Happy New Year

Hello I actually saw the sun today but that isn't why you are here :) so...
My card above is one that I created a few months ago in for a card swap that I was involved in.  It is my style of CAS (Clean And Simple).  Here is how you create this:

Supplies: (all Stampin' Up! products)
 - Smokey Slate, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and daffodil delight card stock (CS)
 - 2  1" scraps of coordinating designer series paper (DSP)
 - Gorgeous Grunge stamp set
 - Garden green ink
 - 1" square, corner rounder and butterfly punches
 - tiny pearls
 - tombow glue

Instructions:
1)     Fold a 1/2 sheet of Smokey Slate to form 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card.
2)     Trim a piece of Crumb Cake cs to 4" x 5 1/4" piece and adhere to front of card with adhesive.
3)     Trim your Whisper White cs to 3 3/4" x 5" and punch a 1" square.
4)     Punch (2) 1" squares from your DSP; with your corner rounder clip the opposite corners from your squares
5)     Using the dotted stamp on the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Garden Green ink randomly stamp the Whisper White cs.  Open your card and stamp a few dots inside (to decorate the inside too).  Stamp a greeting in the bottom left corner (as desired).
6)     Adhere the squares at an angle on your card.  The spacing depends on if you use a greeting or not.  Start at the top left corner space them evenly.
7)     Punch a butterfly out of Daffodil Delight cs.
8)     Use the smallest of your pearls and place 3 accenting the body of your butterfly.
9)     Adhere the butterfly to the center square (you can use a dimensional if you want a different look).  Bend the butterfly wings gently up to make the butterfly the star of your card.

CONGRATULATIONS you are done.  I would love to see the cards that you create when you do this.  PLEASE post your pics here so that I can see them too.

Thank you for sharing your time with me today.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone.  I hope that your day is wonderful.

Ok so here is an interesting selfie of me in my hospital bed. This proves two things the first is that I was in the hospital, for my new not bionic knee replacement.  My second and and by far MOST important is that I am never to take another selfie again.  In my case fat, or fluffy, old woman should not take selfies.  Oh well lesson learned!  My knee replacement leaves me time that I need to use differently.  It is my plan to work on some items to donate to an awesome after school program for middle school kids. I will share them with you soon.  Thank you for sharing you time with me today.

Fly Away Home

Here is a shadow box that I created for my sister-in-law Holly.  I created it using whisper white, pink pirouette and regal rose card stock.  I also the retired Stampin' Up! Big Beautiful Butterflies die, and the Beautiful Wings embosslits after embossing the paper to add visual texture. I did use dimensionals and folded the wings up to add to the dimension of this present.

Butterfly Beauty

Hi and thank you for sharing your time with me today.  Above you see a simple reverse masking card.  I created my shape with my Big Shot and removing the center.  I then put the "negative" over my card front and sponged away; stamped my branch and sentiment; punched my mini-butterflies added bling ('cause I could) then waved my magic wand and toda!
I will be missing (legitimate this time) from my blog because I am having my knee replaced.  It is as a result of a soccer injury 20 years ago, yeah and OK it has been almost that long since I was on the soccer field so it is about time to fix it.
Please let me know what you would like to see so that I can show it here!

Fencing - not just a sport

Hello -
and thank you for sharing your time with me today.  I hope that you are well.  PLEASE feel free to make any and all comments.  I love feedback and thank you in advance for it.
Today's post is my first attempt of the technique to create a fence.  Using the Hardwood background stamp and Early Espresso ink stamp (2) fence images; take your trimmer and cut each plank or at 1 inch wide; using you hexagon punch center the post in the corner of the punch and you now have the perfect fence post top; sponge all your edges with early espresso; line your fence posts anyway that you want them spaced (I suggest you dry run then adhere them, they will be too long for card) place your horizontal pieces on; now trim off the bottom of the fence posts.  All done!  I decorated mine using the bird builder punch.  Depending on how long you make your fence posts you can create 2 cards with this.
