Fly Away Home

Here is a shadow box that I created for my sister-in-law Holly.  I created it using whisper white, pink pirouette and regal rose card stock.  I also the retired Stampin' Up! Big Beautiful Butterflies die, and the Beautiful Wings embosslits after embossing the paper to add visual texture. I did use dimensionals and folded the wings up to add to the dimension of this present.

     Hi and thank you for sharing your time with me today.  Above you see a simple reverse masking card.  I created my shape with my Big Shot and removing the center.  I then put the "negative" over my card front and sponged away; stamped my branch and sentiment; punched my mini-butterflies added bling ('cause I could) then waved my magic wand and toda!  

     I will be missing (legitimate this time) from my blog because I am having my knee replaced.  It is as a result of a soccer injury 20 years ago, yeah and OK it has been almost that long since I was on the soccer field so it is about time to fix it.

Fencing - not just a sport

      and thank you for sharing your time with me today.  I hope that you are well.  PLEASE feel free to make any and all comments.  I love feedback and thank you in advance for it.  

    Today's post is my first attempt of the technique to create a fence.  Using the Hardwood background stamp and Early Espresso ink stamp (2) fence images; take your trimmer and cut each plank or at 1 inch wide; using you hexagon punch center the post in the corner of the punch and you now have the perfect fence post top; sponge all your edges with early espresso; line your fence posts anyway that you want them spaced (I suggest you dry run then adhere them, they will be too long for card) place your horizontal pieces on; now trim off the bottom of the fence posts.  All done!  I decorated mine using the bird builder punch.  Depending on how long you make your fence posts you can create 2 cards with this.

Here's Something To Write Home About

Welcome and thank you for sharing your time with me today.

     As you know or will learn I love paper crafting and I love sharing what I do. Below you see a journal that is perfect for so many things.  The size works for a purse, book bag, brief case, computer bag, bedside table and for your kitchen drawer. Clarification on the kitchen drawer - not the junk drawer but a drawer that you actually use. The journal can be used to take notes at a chat or informal meeting, to jot a last minute excuse for your child's school, a quick grocery list, to give to your child to draw in while you are having your coffee with a friend, for that perfect idea you get before you go to sleep at night etc.  It is also multipurpose as it is made from graph paper so you can create a graph as you are talking in that chance encounter.  This is an attractive journal as is but as "they" say accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.  Below you will find the "accessories" that I used.
